What's New:

Scotts Ridge at Pound Ridge application

The first affordable housing to be built in Pound Ridge will provide twelve suites for older adults. Designed for accessibility the two attractive buildings feature six suites in each building with a common kitchen, with laundry, on each floor. The innovative design combines desired privacy with opportunities for socialization. Considerations for wheelchairs and hearing and sight accommodations make the suites accessible for individuals living with disabilities. The buildings are clustered on a three acre site with landscaping in keeping with the local environment, leaving much of the building lot undisturbed.

Occupancy is tentative scheduled for early fall 2008. Income eligibility for the project is at or below 60% of the area's median income or $42,660 for an individual or $48,770 for a couple. Application forms are available at A-HOME's website and office, the Pound Ridge Town House, community organizations, from the link below or through the mail by request. Last year's hike was great fun with over 200 friends and family walking. We'd like to make it even bigger this year and your participation could make the difference.

By building and rehabilitating affordable housing for disabled individuals, older adults and single parent families A-HOME is working to help meet the community's needs.
